In 2017 I realized that there was no film festival for the diverse Hispanic and Latino community here in Newark, New Jersey. As a lifelong resident born in Newark NJ. I am passionate about my city and my culture. As a filmmaker, I am passionate about my art. My dream of launching the NEWARK LATINO FILM FESTIVAL in NEWARK came true in 2018

5th Annual Newark's Latino Film Festival 2024 celebrates the diverse Latino/Afro-Latino/Hispanic voices in film, and the creation of filmmaking from a Latino/Hispanic perspective. Honoring the cultural commercial film origins to present, cutting edge indie cinema. Local, national, and international submissions accepted. Awards in all categories. Categories include Best of Festival, Best Feature Film, Best Short Film, Best Documentary, Best Culturally Educational Film, Best Comedy, Best Music Video, Best Webisode, Best Animation, Best Student Film.
